“I became addicted to alcohol at age 28, and my choices caused deep pain in my marriage, my children, and my family. I tried rehab twice and failed. I almost died twice from drinking—once spending a week in the hospital and later being airlifted to El Paso when my right kidney stopped working.

When I relapsed again after learning my kidney was in stage 4 failure, I knew I needed real help. I reached out to Adult & Teen Challenge NM, and they started my intake process. My sobriety date is June 21st, 2022.

At a July 4th event, God spoke to me on a zipline: ‘If you can trust that line to hold you, how can you not trust Me?’ That moment changed everything. Since coming to Adult & Teen Challenge New Mexico Women’s Center, I’ve faced difficult situations, but God continues to show me He is with me always. Just have faith.”
