The Focus

Adult & Teen Challenge of New Mexico
Supporting the Total Person in Recovery

Adult & Teen Challenge of New Mexico Women’s Center is a long-term Christian rehab center in New Mexico that focuses on the total person—spiritually, emotionally, physically, socially, and educationally. Our faith-based residential program combines structured community, licensed clinical support, trauma-informed care, and crisis-prevention techniques to help women move toward lasting recovery.

Women ages 18+ receive a safe, supportive environment where they can address the root causes of addiction or life-controlling issues, build healthier coping skills, and experience renewed purpose. Healing takes time, and our year-long program provides the time, structure, and support needed for real transformation.

  • Spiritually: We help women explore a renewed life in Christ and find strength for long-term change.
  • Emotionally: Trauma-informed counseling and biblical studies help women heal from past hurts and build stability.
  • Physically: A drug-free environment, daily routines, and recreational activities support whole-person wellness.
  • Socially: Women learn healthy communication, relationship skills, conflict resolution, and accountability.
  • Educationally: Life-skills classes cover boundaries, coping tools, relapse prevention, emotional health, anger management, and personal development.

Why Choose Adult & Teen Challenge of New Mexico for Recovery?

Many short-term programs provide temporary relief but rarely address the deeper issues that fuel addiction. This can lead to repeated relapses and costly cycles of treatment. Adult & Teen Challenge of New Mexico Women’s Center offers something different — a long-term, year-long Christian residential recovery program designed to rebuild the whole person.

Our daily structure, sense of community, and faith-centered approach guide women away from destructive thinking and toward a renewed lifestyle. As purpose and identity are restored, substance use loses its grip. Graduates describe a life filled with self-worth, peace, stability, and hope for the future.

Choosing Adult & Teen Challenge of New Mexico first gives women the best opportunity for long-term healing and lasting transformation.

Can Avoiding Drugs or Alcohol Alone Solve the Real Problem?

Avoiding substances can provide temporary relief, but it does not address the deeper issues, emotional pain, or unhealthy coping habits that often drive addiction. Without healing these root causes, relapse becomes likely once life’s pressures return.

Adult & Teen Challenge of New Mexico offers long-term, structured support that helps women establish a completely new way of living. We focus on practical life skills such as responsibility, honesty, work ethic, and strong relational habits — essentials for sustainable recovery.

What Are the Program Levels and Timelines?

Level One (14 Weeks) — Recovery

Women learn to identify unhealthy thought patterns, evaluate personal beliefs, and understand the deeper needs they attempted to meet through substance use.

Level Two (12 Weeks) — Renewal

This phase focuses on emotional, spiritual, and relational healing. Women work to restore relationships, address identity issues, and confront the root causes of addiction.

Level Three (12 Weeks) — Restoration & Healing

Residents prepare for life after the program by setting personal goals, building relapse-prevention plans, and developing habits for long-term stability.

Why Are Counseling and Support Groups Important?

Licensed counseling, group therapy, and trauma-informed support create a safe environment for honesty, accountability, and healing. Women share experiences, learn from one another, and grow through structured classes, personal reflections, and supportive conversations.

The strong, family-like community at Adult & Teen Challenge of New Mexico helps women feel understood, supported, and encouraged through each stage of recovery.
