Our Mission Statement

What Is the Mission of Adult & Teen Challenge New Mexico Women’s Center?
The mission of Adult & Teen Challenge New Mexico Women’s Center is to help women break free from addiction and life-controlling behaviors through a Christ-centered, long-term residential program. Our purpose is to introduce women to lasting hope in Christ and guide them through a discipleship process that develops spiritual growth, emotional stability, restored relationships, and healthy daily habits.
Who Does Adult & Teen Challenge New Mexico Women’s Center Serve?
Our Christian drug rehab for women in New Mexico serves adult women ages 18 and older who are seeking long-term, faith-based recovery in a safe and structured environment. Many women come to us carrying the weight of substance use, trauma, damaged relationships, or long-standing emotional struggles. The center offers a supportive community designed for profound healing, personal growth, and lasting transformation.
How Do Women Experience Transformation?
Women at Adult & Teen Challenge New Mexico experience change through a blend of biblical teaching, clinical support, life-skills training, counseling, and daily structure. Our recovery process is holistic—addressing the physical, emotional, relational, and spiritual dimensions of a woman’s life. As women grow in confidence and identity, destructive behaviors are replaced with purpose, resilience, and hope.
Why Is the Adult & Teen Challenge Model Effective?
Since 1958, Adult & Teen Challenge has grown into a globally recognized network with hundreds of campuses across the United States. The program is known for its long-term success in helping individuals overcome addiction through faith-based community, structure, accountability, and discipleship. Women at our center live in a stable, supportive environment at a fraction of the cost of most residential rehabilitation facilities, providing them with the time and space needed for meaningful healing.
Through counseling, classroom time, community living, and spiritual development, women learn the importance of taking responsibility, developing emotional regulation skills, practicing relapse prevention, and acquiring practical tools to rebuild their futures.
What Is the Work Therapy and Life-Skills Program?
Work therapy and vocational responsibilities are integral components of the recovery process. Women learn healthy work habits, time management, teamwork, and personal responsibility. These skills build confidence, prepare participants for employment, and help reinforce structure and purpose throughout the recovery process.
Long-Term Residential Program for Women
Our long-term residential program typically lasts 12 to 15 months. Throughout the program, women receive support from a multidisciplinary team that may include licensed counselors, chaplains, mentors, and trained staff. The focus is on addressing trauma, rebuilding identity, improving mental and emotional health, and creating strong foundations for lifelong sobriety.
Restoration & Renewal Program
The Restoration & Renewal track is designed for women who have previously completed a long-term Adult & Teen Challenge program but need additional support. This 6-month option reinforces spiritual foundations, strengthens accountability, and provides renewed focus for women rebuilding their lives after setbacks.
